RFQ Templates

A good request for quotation gets you comparable offers instead of a pile of one-liners. Fill in the same fields every time and vendors answer the same questions, so you can weigh price, delivery and terms side by side. Copy a template below into your RFQ and adjust the details.

The six fields every RFQ needs

What you need

A plain description of the product or service, with brand-neutral specs so any capable vendor can quote.

Quantity and units

Exact quantity, unit of measure, and whether you want tiered pricing for larger volumes.

Technical specs

Dimensions, grade, capacity, colour, standards or anything that changes the price.

Delivery

Where it goes, by when, and whether installation or offloading is included.

Payment terms

Deposit, balance on delivery, or escrow through B2B.ng. Say it up front.

Deadline for quotes

The date you stop taking offers, so vendors know the window and respond in time.
